Guwahati-based artist Nuruddin Ahmed is continuing to create magic with his creative craftsmanship year after year. Guwahati has witnessed his designing marvel every year during Durga Puja. He never ceases to surprise pandal hoppers with his innovative ideas. The 100 feet tall bamboo structure of Goddess Durga has been registered for Guinness Book of World Records under the category of ‘Tallest Bamboo Structure’
An exemplar of fine craftsmanship, Nuruddin Ahmed's work of art is truly a treat for the eyes. With extraordinary creativity in the trade of designing this Sangeet Natak Akademi awardee has set high benchmarks in the field and made the state proud.
Ahmed established Rajdeep Art Studio some 27 years ago and till now 400 students have undergone training under him, 40 artists are working with Ahmed at present. In his three-decade-long career, the artist not only brought laurels to the state but also helped to generate employment for local talent.
Not many cities are rich enough with talents like Nuruddin Ahmed. The more you hear, the more his contribution makes you feel proud. In a world when people are cutting off from tradition and culture, he’s someone with amazing magical skills and imagination. He is the pride of India.
